How we build
Anyone can stack block. Walls fail because of what happens under and behind them. This is the sequence we follow on every job, and we will show you each stage as we go.
We excavate below grade and cut a level bench into solid, undisturbed soil — never on loose fill.
Crushed stone base, compacted in lifts. The first course gets leveled block by block — every course above copies it.
Perforated pipe, clean stone backfill and geogrid tied into the soil behind the wall. This is what stops the lean.
Courses go up with the right setback, caps get glued down, and we regrade and clean the site before we leave.

Before and after
This backyard had three old railroad-tie terraces that had rotted through and were sliding down the hill. We tore all of it out, hauled it off, and rebuilt with pressure-treated timber tied back into the slope, with steps between the levels.
